Shannon Williams grew up in Idaho Falls, Idaho, the daughter of Morris and Jean Benson. She graduated from Bonneville High School, Ricks College and Brigham Young University and served a full-time mission in Santiago, Chile. She worked for several years as an oncology nurse and then spent seventeen years as a stay-at-home mom. In addition to spending time with her family, she enjoys music, reading, public speaking, Little Caesars crazy bread and watching football. She and her husband Doug are the parents of five children and they reside in Blackfoot, Idaho.
